Position Summary:
 
The QEC/Piece Parts at LCI is responsible for the detailed cleaning and preparation of QEC assemblies and individual engine components to support repair, overhaul, and quality inspection processes. This position ensures all parts meet cleanliness standards in compliance with FAA, EASA, and company requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, follow precise procedures, and contribute to maintaining LCI’s reputation for excellence in aerospace component support.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·       Clean QEC assemblies and individual engine components using approved methods (e.g., solvent cleaning, ultrasonic baths, media blasting, hand tools).
·       Follow detailed work instructions, safety protocols, and OEM/industry standards during all cleaning processes.
·       Accurately tag, label, and identify parts to ensure traceability throughout the cleaning and repair process.
·       Properly handle and store hazardous materials and cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
·       Collaborate with Quality Control, Production, and Warehouse teams to support on-time processing and workflow efficiency.
·       Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cleaning area, equipment, and tools to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
·       Assist with general shop support tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, or industrial parts cleaning preferred.
  • Familiarity with aircraft engine components and aviation maintenance practices is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety data sheets (SDS), and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow strict procedures and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Basic computer literacy for entering documentation and following digital work instructions.
  • Must be a dependable team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
