Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • 14G Instructors provide support to the 30th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Brigade (BDE) training for Advanced Individual Training (AIT) 14G Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).  14G Instructors shall have the skills and knowledge of the 14G10 Air Defense Battle Management System Operator course and must be capable of performing all tasks in this position description.
  • Follow the approved Programs of Instruction (POI) and instruct the contents of each lesson plan to established standards.  Ensure the total time, training devices used, and topics are in accordance with approved POIs and lesson plans. Ensure the POI, Lesson Plans and Training Aids are current and up to date.
  • Provide instruction on all the components of the Divisional Air Defense (DivAD), which includes Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) Engagement Operations (EO), Air and Missile Defense Workstation (AMDWS), Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS), and Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI). 
  • Provide instruction on characteristics, capabilities, operational functions, power up/down, fault recognition, and troubleshooting. 
  • Follow instructional techniques and procedures, specified school policies, SOPs, and school memoranda concerning the use of prescribed texts, student outlines, advance sheets, worksheets, technical and field manuals, schematics, logic diagrams, and miscellaneous publications in the preparation and conduct of ADA 14G Instructor duties. 
  • Ensure training products encompass the full scope of operations at the systems, subsystem, and component level for such units found within the Missile System power requirements, general system electronics, maintenance and repair concept, and troubleshooting procedures. 
  • Administer examinations, evaluate and correlate test results of the student's ability, and provide recommendations to academic deficiency panels on changes and student status.
  • Analyze training materials to ensure instructional techniques are effective and efficient. Ensure training objectives are met using the System Approach to Training (SAT) and train-the-trainer procedures. 
  • Apply professional knowledge of educational psychology, learning theory, instructional design, and tests and measurements in developing and/or updating compatible and educationally valid training materials. 
  • Review and make recommendations as needed for the adoption of new techniques that shall improve instruction. 
  • Implement software program changes to existing operational programs and introduce new equipment into the training program if needed. 
  • Validate instruction prior to implementation; ensure draft technical lessons are technically correct, complete, and in accordance with prescribed formats, and observe appropriate validation efforts to ensure technical accuracy. 
Education
Graduate of the 14G MOS qualified course. Any combination of the following can substantiate proof of ADA qualifications:
  • DD Form 214
  • Enlisted Records Brief (ERB) / Warrant/Officer Records Brief 
  • Certificate of Completion (ADA MOS Qualified)
Experience
  • Must have at a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the 14G ADA MOS
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Instructional Competency
– Ability to effectively teach and modify curriculum while adhering to established POI and regulations.
  • Technical Expertise in Air Defense Systems – In-depth understanding of Air Missile Defense (AMD) C4I systems, FAAD, Sentinel Radar, Air and Missile Defense Planning and Control System (AMDPCS), and Air Defense Airspace Management (ADAM) Cell integration.
  • Operational Proficiency – Capability to instruct on the characteristics, capabilities, and operational functions of DivAD systems, including TAIS and ADSI. 
  • Troubleshooting and Fault Recognition – Skill in identifying, diagnosing, and addressing issues within air defense control systems and subsystems.
  • Curriculum and Training Material Development – Ability to update, refine, and validate training content in accordance with Army Learning Model, TRADOC 350-70, and System Approach to Training (SAT).
  • Testing and Evaluation – Competence in administering examinations, assessing test results, and making recommendations based on student performance.
  • Software and System Integration – Familiarity with implementing software updates, introducing new equipment, and ensuring compatibility with existing instructional materials.
  • Educational Psychology and Instructional Design – Knowledge of learning theories and instructional techniques to enhance training effectiveness

  • The position is contingent upon contract award.
  • Ability to obtain or have a security clearance.
  • Travel is required.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
  • Required to sit for extended periods and maintain focus.
