Job Summary
We are seeking a Shredder Guitar Teacher to join our team! As the Guitar Teacher, you will be selecting music, holding auditions for students, and assigning music to those best suited to them. You will also schedule and supervise all rehearsals within the confines of Academy hours, maintain all musical equipment, and attend staff meetings as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with and teaching students, excellent leadership skills, and a knack for developing young talent.
Responsibilities
- Choose activities, lessons, and musical performances based on the skillset and available students
- Oversee each activity or musical event, and assign parts as necessary
- Schedule and supervise rehearsals within the appropriate Academy hours
- Properly assess the skills of each student under your care, and work with each student to develop their individual skills
- Stay up to date with trends in both teaching and the music industry
- Attend staff meetings, as needed
- Maintain all musical equipment, as necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching music preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent leadership and time management skills
- The ability to make decisions under pressure
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
