Job Description
The Outreach Assistant will support the Outreach Coordinator in planning, coordinating, and executing outreach efforts to connect with Native communities, partners, and stakeholders. This role is vital in maintaining meaningful community relationships, assisting with events, and ensuring consistent communication about Native C.O.R.E.’s programs and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and organizing community outreach events, meetings, and workshops.
- Maintain outreach calendars and track community engagement activities.
- Support with the preparation of outreach materials such as flyers, social media content, and informational packets.
- Attend community events and represent Native C.O.R.E. as needed.
- Assist with data collection, surveys, and reporting efforts related to outreach.
- Help build and maintain a contact database of community members, tribal entities, and partners.
- Support communications with volunteers, partner organizations, and community members.
- Provide general administrative support to the Outreach Coordinator as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A passion for Native community empowerment and cultural understanding.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort with or willingness to learn tools like Google Suite, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Prior experience in outreach, community engagement, or nonprofit work is a plus.
- Cultural knowledge or lived experience in Native/Indigenous communities is highly valued.
Working Conditions
- Flexible hours, some evening or weekend availability may be required.
- Ability to travel locally for community events and outreach.
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Must have a valid Drivers License
Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
