Job Summary
MJ Barber & Beauty Academy is seeking a licensed, passionate and knowledgeable Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetology and aesthetics, with the ability to effectively teach and inspire students in various beauty treatments and techniques. This role involves developing lesson plans, delivering engaging classroom instruction, and ensuring students gain the necessary skills to excel in the beauty industry.

This role involves developing lesson plans, delivering engaging classroom instruction, and ensuring students gain the necessary skills to excel in the beauty industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach students various aesthetic treatments, including hair styling, hair coloring, body waxing, and nail care.
- Provide hands-on training in hair extensions and other advanced cosmetology techniques.
- Assess student performance through practical demonstrations and written evaluations.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance instructional methods.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all practical training sessions.
Skills
- Applicants must possess a Cosmetology or Esthetician License in the State of California for minimum of 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of aesthetic treatments and cosmetology principles.
- Proficient in anatomy knowledge relevant to beauty treatments.
- Experience in lesson planning and classroom management.
- Expertise in body waxing, hair styling, hair extensions, hair coloring, and nail care techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to students.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students while fostering a collaborative learning environment.
