Big Dog Construction has been proudly building and remodeling homes in New Jersey for over 30 yearsâand we're growing! Weâre looking for a Lead Carpenter with a minimum of 5 yearsâ experience whoâs ready to step into a leadership role and help us deliver the top-quality work our clients have come to expect.
đŞ About the Role:
This position is perfect for someone who is well-rounded, dependable, and takes pride in their craft. Youâll be expected to work independently and as part of a team, while also managing day-to-day tasks on job sites. If youâve got strong framing, trimming, sheet rocking, and spackling skillsâand know how to run a smooth job from start to finishâwe want to hear from you.
đ ď¸ What Youâll Be Doing:
- Lead and manage a crew on residential construction projects
- Handle all phases of carpentry (framing, trim, drywall, etc.)
- Collaborate with subcontractors and project managers
- Maintain job site safety and cleanliness
- Solve problems on the fly and keep projects moving
- Ensure top-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction

What Weâre Looking For:

Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience
- Proficiency in trimming, framing, sheetrock, and spackling
- Ability to read and work from plans/blueprints
- Reliable transportation and basic hand/power tools
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
