STIWA is hiring a motivated and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Rock Hill, SC. In this role, you'll set up, operate, and maintain CNC Milling Machines to produce high-precision components using a variety of materials such as metals, plastics, and alloys. You'll work from detailed blueprints, selecting the right tools and setups to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Your Duties:
- Set up CNC machines by installing and adjusting necessary tools, gauges, and controls.
- Load raw materials into the machines and ensure proper alignment.
- Monitor the machines during operation to ensure they are running efficiently and producing high-quality components.
- Make necessary adjustments to the machines as needed, such as changing cutting tools or modifying cutting parameters.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine errors or malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of production data, including output, scrap, and machine maintenance.
Your Profile:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- Familiarity with Heidenhain controls is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Willingness to work 1st and 2nd shifts, with potential for rotational shifts in the future based on business needs
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and cost awareness
- Ability to self-manage time, demonstrate reliability, and take ownership of responsibilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, while contributing positively to our team-oriented culture and supporting a strong, cohesive team dynamic.
- Preference for candidates living within a reasonable commuting distance to our Rockhill, SC location
