Our auto repair shop has an immediate opening for a Mechanic Assistant. Under the direction of our senior mechanic, you will assist with car maintenance jobs. You must be familiar with the general workings of a car engine. Our ideal candidate has some experience with fixing and maintaining vehicles, but we are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks on customer vehicles
- Keeps work area clean and safe
- Moves cars in and out of the bay area
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of an auto repair program (preferred, but not required)
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Willing to learn
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Automotive repair facility experience.
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per week
