About the Job
The Chemical Handler and Warehouse Technician is responsible for handling and packaging chemical products received and for outbound shipments, as well as maintenance of the chemical inventory and warehouse. The role entails daily chemical product handling, repackaging, sampling for quality control procedures, data entry into inventory management system, as well as participating in order fulfillment activities, liaising with engineering, sales, and inventory teams to coordinate product shipments, and ensuring adherence to customer specifications. Additionally, the role is responsible for identifying and addressing any issues or deficiencies in our product handling, and warehouse operations, as well as meticulously preparing warehouse documentation and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
Responsibilities
· Safely and efficiently operate forklift and other warehouse machinery to move, store, and load products
· Loading and unloading trailers
· Package & labeling chemical products, sampling raw and in-process materials for quality control operations
· Using the inventory system to obtain pick lists, check stock levels and inventory locations, Safety Data Sheets, and product documentation
· Ensuring the correct allocation of product into the physical warehouse and inventory system
· Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and strictly following Environmental Health and Safety policies when handling chemicals
· Cleaning, sweeping and maintaining the general cleanliness of warehouse and lab spaces and equipment
· Perform daily inspection and products and maintain compliance to Environmental Health and Safety policies.
· Coordinating shipments using various methods such as express, LTL, LCL, ocean freight, and air freight
· Assist the shipping department in routine shipping activities including packaging, document preparation, and shipment quality control
· Conducting audits on warehouse and shipping-related stock and replenishing supplies as needed

Qualifications
· 1+ year experience with handling chemicals and warehouse operations
· Associate or Bachelors degree in a technical field at a minimum
· Must be willing to operate a forklift
· Fluent in English
· Excellent technical writing skills and oral communication
· Strong customer-oriented approach to work
· Strong computer base skills – MS office
· Ability to learn, understand, and perform standard operating procedures and company policies
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
· Self-starter oriented personality
