Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Account Manager to oversee and support our assigned customer accounts. This role is responsible for maintaining strong daily communication, managing customer-related logistics, and ensuring high service levels. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in transportation management systems (McLeod TMS and third-party platforms), customer service, and account growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management:
    Oversee and manage all assigned customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.
    Maintain daily communication via phone and email to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

  • Activity Monitoring & Reporting:
    Track and document all customer activity through McLeod TMS and other relevant platforms.
    Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Business Development:
    Facilitate and oversee the execution of new business opportunities.
    Support onboarding efforts and ensure a seamless transition from quote to operation.

  • Trailer Pool Management:
    Manage and monitor trailer pools associated with assigned customers, ensuring optimal utilization and availability.

  • Billing & Issue Resolution:
    Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
    Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and customer satisfaction.

  • Quoting & Pricing:
    Generate and submit pricing for new opportunities.
    Provide competitive and accurate bids/quotes in line with company profitability goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or account management preferred

  • Proficiency in McLeod TMS and/or third-party TMS platforms a plus

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Customer-first mindset with a focus on relationship-building

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, office-based position with standard business hours. Occasional extended hours may be required based on customer needs.
