Full Charge Bookkeeper Part-Time

Essential Job Functions:
- Financial Accounts – maintain a full set of up-to-date Financial Accounts in accordance with GAAP, using QuickBooks Enterprise, applying a system of checks, balances and controls.
- Transactional Accounting - general Bookkeeping responsibilities, including managing AP, AR and Payroll and capturing, on a timely basis, purchases, sales, operating & personnel expenses (including consultants, professional fees, commission and general payroll processing), key expenditures, debt-related obligations and sales/purchases discounts, allowance and returns.
- Journal Entries – creating, adjusting and entering journal entries as appropriate including accruals as applicable to key line-items as may be necessary for accurate cut-off.
- Monthly Financial Statement Preparation – prepare monthly Financial Statements including Balance Sheet and Income Statement, ensuring each month is closed accurately on a timely basis. Report same to Senior Management.
- Cash Management/Controls – oversee the timely (i) settlement of corporate & related obligations; and (ii) collection of sales proceeds, according to their terms. Undertake the daily banking function with respect to collections & payment, and banking in general including account reconciliations.
- Cashflows - provide complete, accurate & timely cash projections on a monthly basis. Report same to Senior Management.
- Deadline Management – reference financial calendar to ensure all deadlines are met.
Requirements:
- 5 years of accounting experience in the garment industry preferred.
- Functional working with QuickBooks Enterprise.
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Data Entry Skills
- Produce work with high level of accuracy
Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
