Shift Notes
8 hr days, call included, EOW, First to Float
Pay: $80 to $85 depending on experience.
Unit Notes
- - Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- - Certs: BLS, ACLS for nurses; techs also need CVT, RT, CA Fluro.
- - Ratios: 1 to 1
- - EMR: Techs will scrub and do hemodynamic monitoring; nurses do sedation monitoring
- - Charge Nurse: Yes, no patients
- - Nurse Aides: No, do use cath lab techs for scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring
- - Weekend Requirement: Call twice a month on weekends
- - Call: Twice a month
- - Holidays: Rotate w/ perm staff
- - Scrub Color: Provided by hospital
- - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Cardiologist
- - IV Team: Nurses start own
- - RT 24/7: Yes
- - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- - Shifts: Business hour shifts and then call for coverage
- - Floating: No
- - Floor specific orientation: Depends on experience and if a nurse or a tech
- - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: STEMI, TAVERS, interventional and diagnostic caths, TAVR, EVAR (Endovascular Aneurysm Repair), cardio mams, no IR, implants
- -Additional Notes: Techs will scrub and do hemodynamic monitoring; nurses do sedation monitoring; RNs need concious sedation testing as part of protocol
Compensation: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour
