Job Summary:
The Dispatch Operations Assistant supports the daily operations of a trucking company by assisting with route planning, delivery scheduling, and load assignments. This role ensures smooth and efficient transportation of goods by working closely with dispatchers, drivers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Dispatch Operations:
    Support the planning and coordination of inbound and outbound truck movements.

  • Schedule Deliveries:
    Book delivery appointments and coordinate with drivers and customers to ensure timely arrivals.

  • Assign Loads:
    Help allocate loads to appropriate drivers and trucks based on factors such as route efficiency, distance, and scheduling.

  • Driver Support:
    Maintain real-time communication with drivers to provide assistance and resolve issues as they arise.

  • Customer Communication:
    Provide delivery updates, address inquiries, and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.

  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of dispatched loads and completed deliveries, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Trucking Operations:
    Familiarity with industry regulations, logistics, and routing practices.

  • Strong Communication Skills:
    Clear and professional communication with team members, drivers, and customers.

  • Organizational Skills:
    Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain detailed records.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities:
    Capable of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions in real time.

  • Computer Proficiency:
    Experience using dispatch software, email, and other relevant computer applications.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
