About the Role

We are seeking a highly strategic and proactive Director of Human Resources to partner with executive leadership and drive HR functions across a rapidly expanding national organization. Supporting over 100 locations in 25 states, this role is key to aligning people operations with business objectives while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and cultural continuity. The ideal candidate is a hard-working, results-driven professional with a growth mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Working as a critical member of the Business Operations team, the Director will oversee and develop HR systems, talent strategy, compliance training, and performance management—all through an integrated HRIS platform (Paylocity). This individual plays a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance, financial oversight in people processes, and organizational scalability during accelerated growth. Strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to drive outcomes across distributed teams are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead all HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
  • Manage and optimize HRIS processes using Paylocity, ensuring data integrity and workflow efficiency
  • Administer annual regulatory compliance training through Paylocity’s LMS and track completion for audit readiness
  • Maintain a dynamic, role-specific org chart that reflects ongoing organizational changes
  • Produce accurate and timely compliance reports; support internal audits and documentation standards
  • Advise leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and engagement strategies
 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 
  • 10+ years of HR experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity
  • Strong command of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices
  • Proficient in interpreting HR metrics to support business decision-making
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with proven leadership ability
Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience administering Paylocity for payroll, benefits, performance, and talent management
  • Proven track record in leveraging HRIS systems to maintain compliance and audit readiness
  • Experience deploying learning and development programs through Paylocity’s LMS
  • Ability to design and maintain scalable, real-time org charts for workforce planning
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, accountable approach to leadership
  • 2+ years of experience using spreadsheets to track multiple streams of data
  • Tech-savvy individual with a high degree of comfort using a variety of SaaS products
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred
