Compensation: $23–$26/hour (based on experience and education)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (30 hours/week, year-round)

Inclusive Classroom Support: Assist across classrooms to support children of all abilities in developmentally appropriate activities.

1:1 Support as Needed: Provide gentle, responsive care and strategies to individual children who benefit from focused support.

Adaptation & Flexibility: Help adapt routines, teaching strategies, and expectations to meet each child’s evolving needs.

Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers, families, and any visiting service providers (e.g., speech, OT, PT) while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Classroom Coverage: Float between classrooms depending on staffing and student needs.

Safe & Nurturing Environment: Maintain a secure, loving, and respectful classroom climate that aligns with all health, safety, and licensing requirements.

Certification: Massachusetts EEC Teacher certification for both Infant/Toddler and Preschool required, or proof that an application is in progress.

Experience: Prior work in a licensed group childcare setting is required. Experience supporting children receiving early intervention or therapy services is strongly preferred.

Training: Completion of StrongStart 2.0 training for Center-Based Childcare.

Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and transfer children (up to 50 lbs.) and visually and audibly supervise children up to 50 feet away.

Language Fluency: Moderate to complete fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required due to our curriculum, family communication, and digital record-keeping systems.

Evening Meetings: Ability to attend one Tuesday evening staff meeting per month (6:00–8:00 PM, adjusted during holiday weeks).

Compliance: Must pass all EEC-required background checks, including fingerprinting.

- Emotionally attuned to young children and their caregivers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Deep respect for inclusion, family privacy, and ethical standards (e.g., HIPAA, IDEA)
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to support across age groups and roles as needed
