Compensation: $23–$26/hour (based on experience and education)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (30 hours/week, year-round)

Position Overview

We are seeking a warm, experienced, and adaptable early childhood educator to join our team as an Inclusion Support Teacher. In this part-time role, you’ll work in toddler, preschool, and pre-k classrooms to ensure that all children—including those with differing needs—are supported in a mainstream, inclusive setting.

Ideal candidates will have the skills, empathy, and flexibility to support children with a variety of mild to moderate developmental needs, including behavioral challenges, speech delays, sensory sensitivities, and executive functioning differences. This is not a special education role, but a teaching position within a general early education program focused on responsive support and inclusion.

This is a part-time position (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) with potential to become full-time based on school needs. A future full-time schedule would require availability for any 9-hour shift (with a 1-hour unpaid break) between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

  • Supportive and collaborative school culture

  • Flexible, purpose-driven role that makes a real impact

  • State-of-the-art classrooms and play-based curriculum

  • A strong, mission-aligned team of educators and administrators

  • Room to grow professionally as the school grows

Key Responsibilities

  • Inclusive Classroom Support: Assist across classrooms to support children of all abilities in developmentally appropriate activities.

  • 1:1 Support as Needed: Provide gentle, responsive care and strategies to individual children who benefit from focused support.

  • Adaptation & Flexibility: Help adapt routines, teaching strategies, and expectations to meet each child’s evolving needs.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers, families, and any visiting service providers (e.g., speech, OT, PT) while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Classroom Coverage: Float between classrooms depending on staffing and student needs.

  • Safe & Nurturing Environment: Maintain a secure, loving, and respectful classroom climate that aligns with all health, safety, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certification: Massachusetts EEC Teacher certification for both Infant/Toddler and Preschool required, or proof that an application is in progress.

  • Experience: Prior work in a licensed group childcare setting is required. Experience supporting children receiving early intervention or therapy services is strongly preferred.

  • Training: Completion of StrongStart 2.0 training for Center-Based Childcare.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and transfer children (up to 50 lbs.) and visually and audibly supervise children up to 50 feet away.

  • Language Fluency: Moderate to complete fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required due to our curriculum, family communication, and digital record-keeping systems.

  • Evening Meetings: Ability to attend one Tuesday evening staff meeting per month (6:00–8:00 PM, adjusted during holiday weeks).

  • Compliance: Must pass all EEC-required background checks, including fingerprinting.
