Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist in all 5 boroughs of NY to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various mental health disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a clinical environment. The Psychiatrist will engage in psychotherapy, medication management, and crisis intervention while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Provide ongoing mental health counseling and psychotherapy.
Manage medication prescriptions and monitor patient responses.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Engage in crisis management strategies to support patients in acute distress.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to the development of best practices within the clinic.
Provide specialized care in pediatric psychiatry as needed.
Offer addiction counseling services when appropriate.

Experience

Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in Psychiatry.
Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry is preferred.
Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting, particularly in mental health counseling.
Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities including psychotherapy and crisis intervention techniques.
Knowledge of addiction counseling practices is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in psychiatry.
