We are looking for our next great Lead Teacher for Afterschool and Homeschool programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach STEM lessons aligned with grade level learning goals
Use tools like LEGO® SPIKE™, Makey Makey kits, and Scratch coding
Create a safe, inclusive classroom that encourages experimentation
Adapt instruction to suit various developmental stages K - 8th graders
Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity and support
Include, but are not limited to:
- Collect materials from and return materials to the designed storage areas
- Support the Lead Teacher in preparing supplies at the beginning of a program
- Encourage student involvement by ensuring students begin warm-up activities and assisting students on an individual basis
- Traveling to different school sites using company vehicle or reimbursement for mileage.
- Practice excellence in teaching when offering Engineering For Kids programs
- Ensure classes operate smoothly by conducting tasks such as observing and recording data during student tests, managing supplies during class, and assisting in demonstrations
- Provide appropriate instruction that considers the unique abilities of every student
- Constantly strive to improve instruction through reflection and evaluation
Primary Duties:
- Support Engineering For Kids classes in a professional manner
- Be courteous and approachable to students, parents, and staff
- Follow policies of the franchise location which may include, but are not limited to, safety procedures and dress code
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
