Job Summary
We are seeking a remote Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will collect, manage, and report scheduling information. This important position allows us to provide comprehensive and consistent patient care by coordinating medical and health services. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, empathetic, highly organized, and possesses excellent customer service skills.  
 
Responsibilities 
  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Collect patient information and update electronic medical records.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with insurance-related questions.
  • Assign patients to the appropriate clinicians based on availability and location. 
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar. 
  • Use of physical therapy platform, Microsoft Office, and other computer programs.
  • Communicate with physical therapists regarding any updates or changes to their schedule.
  • Communicate with managers and patients to inform them of any schedule or staffing changes.
  • Respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with billing and coding processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and management of new staff.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or higher (Required) 
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting and/or physical therapy office is required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and other computer programs
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Schedule: 
  • 40 hours a week 
  • Monday - Friday 
  • 9am - 5pm 

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
