Job Summary
- Four attorney general practice law firm on northeast Nassau-Queens border seeks full-time experienced personal injury paralegal to assist attorneys with trial and pre-trial matters as well as transactional matters.
General Accountabilities
- Organizes, enters and cross-references documents in a computerized database.
- Obtains, assembles and organizes documents pertinent to litigation.
- Prepares pleadings, discovery requests and responses.
- Processes medical record requests, no fault applications and obtains lien information.
- Manages calendar, schedules depositions and appearances
- Job entails significant direct communication with clients
Job Qualifications
- Experience: 2 or more years of personal injury paralegal experience
- Dependability and Promptness
- Good computer skills - experience with LEAP, Lexis, HotDocs, NYSCEF a plus
- Good Organizational skills
- Willingness and ability to work with others
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Open to change and willing to learn new skills
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
