Front Desk / Customer Service Representative (Part-Time)
Location: Lake Nona, Orlando, FL
Pay: $14/hour
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week (weekday afternoons and weekends required)

British Swim School isn’t just about swim lessons—we teach life-saving water safety skills that serve families for life. We’re looking for a friendly, outgoing, and organized Front Desk team member to help us deliver an exceptional experience for every family who walks through our doors.

Position Summary:

As the first point of contact, you’ll be the face of our swim school—welcoming families, managing registration, supporting sales, and keeping our front-of-house operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, thrives in a dynamic environment, and wants to make a difference in children's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

🛎️ Customer Service & Communication

  • Warmly greet families, answer questions, and ensure a welcoming experience

  • Manage check-in procedures and communicate student updates to instructors

  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and walk-ins with a professional, helpful attitude

  • Make outbound calls to leads and prospective customers to explain programs, offer assessments, and close registrations

  • Provide information on class levels, make-up policies, and progress tracking

🧾 Administrative Support

  • Register new students and update scheduling information in software (JackRabbit)

  • Process payments and issue receipts

  • Keep printed materials organized and stocked

💼 Facility & Sales Support

  • Keep the lobby, waiting area, and front desk clean, organized, and presentable at all times

  • Restock customer-facing supplies:  brochures, merchandise, hand sanitizer

  • Promote and process retail sales (goggles, caps, apparel)

  • Support execution of special events, open houses, and family engagement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (in-person and phone)

  • Comfortable making sales-focused outbound calls to prospective customers

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable

  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced, child-friendly environment

  • Experience with scheduling or POS software (preferred, not required)

  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain (training provided)

  • Evening and weekend availability is a must
