Position Overview:
The Assistant Children's Center Director plays a key leadership role in supporting the daily operations of our NY State licensed daycare program. This individual works closely with the Children’s Center Director to ensure that all licensing regulations are upheld, curriculum standards are met, and children receive high-quality care and education. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and passionate about early childhood development.
The Assistant Children's Center Director plays a key leadership role in supporting the daily operations of our NY State licensed daycare program. This individual works closely with the Children’s Center Director to ensure that all licensing regulations are upheld, curriculum standards are met, and children receive high-quality care and education. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and passionate about early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director in overseeing day-to-day operations of the center
- Ensure full compliance with New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) licensing regulations
- Help manage staff scheduling and training
- Step in for the Director during absences or as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for children and staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a NY State licensed daycare program (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of NYS OCFS regulations
- Supervisory or administrative experience in a child care setting is a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Friday. Occasional evening or weekend hours for events or training may be required.

Compensation: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
