Job Description
An Emissions Lane Technician is responsible for performing vehicle emissions tests to ensure compliance with state or local environmental regulations. This typically involves using specialized equipment to analyze exhaust emissions and determine if vehicles meet air quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate emissions testing equipment in accordance with state or local regulations.
- Inspect vehicles for readiness, including checking for malfunction indicator lights (MIL).
- Record test results and issue certifications or failure notices.
- Communicate results to customers in a professional manner.
- Perform basic maintenance and calibration on testing equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and follow safety/environmental guidelines.

- Valid driver’s license.
