HVAC Technical Support Specialist & Trainer
Location: Albany, NY (Capital District)
Territory: New York, Western Vermont & Western Massachusetts
Travel: 25%-50% (occasional overnight travel)

What You'll Do
This role blends technical troubleshooting, contractor support, and HVAC training.
Technical Support
- Provide in-person and/or phone troubleshooting support to contractors and distributors
- Help diagnose system issues involving furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and air conditioning systems
- Assist with product startup, configuration, and system optimization
Contractor Training
- Lead in-person training sessions for contractors and technicians
- Training classes typically range from 3–20 attendees
- Trainings are held during normal business hours at contractor shops, distributor locations, or training facilities
- Demonstrate installation, service, and troubleshooting best practices
Field Support
- Travel throughout the territory to assist with advanced technical issues
- Work directly with contractors on-site when additional support is needed
- Support distributor training events and product demonstrations
When not traveling, this role works from our Albany office providing technical support by phone and assisting with training coordination.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking someone with real field experience who understands what HVAC technicians deal with every day.
Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on HVAC installation or service experience
- Strong troubleshooting knowledge of furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning systems, and boilers
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to other technicians
- Comfortable speaking to small groups during training sessions
- Organized and self-motivated
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, CRM systems)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory
Preferred but not required:
- Hydronics / boiler experience
- Experience with high-efficiency systems
- Previous experience mentoring or training other technicians
