Location: 250 Kearny Street, San Francisco, CA

Positions Available: Day, Night, Weekend, and Overnight Shifts

Join Augustine Angels and be part of a supportive team making a daily impact on lives at the 250 Kearny Street Project — a permanent supportive housing site for previously unhoused Veterans in San Francisco.

Position Overview:
  • We are hiring Housing Support Specialists to provide 24/7/365 coverage within the residence. This is a non-clinical, frontline support role responsible for monitoring tenant safety, building security, and coordinating with VA clinical staff to ensure residents maintain housing stability and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site coverage and tenant engagement in lobby and residential floors
  • Conduct daily wellness and safety checks for residents
  • Monitor and log visitors and tenant movement
  • Enforce building policies and assist with de-escalation or emergencies
  • Collaborate with VA staff on case coordination and resident needs
  • Attend community meetings, orientations, and assist with tenant integration
  • Maintain accurate documentation and submit required reports

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • General understanding of mental health, substance abuse, trauma, and homelessness
  • Experience in housing, social services, corrections, or similar settings preferred
  • Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills
  • Must pass PPD (TB) testing and background check
  • Ability to remain professional in high-stress situations
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Tagalog, Cantonese) a plus
  • Must be caring, kind and compassionate

Available Shifts:
  • Day (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
  • Evening (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
  • Overnight (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Weekend Coverage
  • Flexible on-call and backup positions also available
