Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and clinical support to healthcare providers
- Patient registration and intake
- Manage patient records using EMR software accurately and securely
- Vital signs measurement
- Accompany patients to examination or treatment room, obtain medical history, and prepare them for examination or treatment
- Phlebotomy, specimen collection, and performing lab tests per instructions
- Assisting with minor procedures and EKG testing
- Maintain patient records for clinical use, billing, and physician review
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a clinical setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Experience working in an Urgent Care Clinic or similar healthcare facility is preferred.
- Basic life support or CPR certification is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer skills and working knowledge of EMR systems.
- A compassionate approach to patient care with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
