Job Title: Retail Systems Manager
Compensation: $103,800 - $129,800 Annual Salary

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Retail Systems Manager with a specialized focus on restaurant support. This role will be critical in overseeing the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of all technology systems utilized within our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between IT and restaurant teams, ensuring that Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, kitchen display systems (KDS), inventory management, reservation platform, and other critical restaurant technologies are performing optimally, enhancing efficiency, and supporting a seamless team member and guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of restaurant technology systems, including POS, KDS, online ordering platforms, delivery integrations, inventory management systems, and back-office solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for restaurant technology, providing expert guidance and support to restaurant managers and staff.
- Manage vendor relationships for restaurant-specific software and hardware, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and new features/updates are evaluated and implemented.
- Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to deliver training programs and documentation.
- Oversee system configurations, menu updates, pricing changes, and promotional setups within POS and online ordering platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, working closely across IT and vendors to minimize downtime and impact on operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for restaurant systems, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and enhanced reporting capabilities.
- Manage system updates, patches, and migrations, coordinating with stakeholders to minimize disruption.
- Lead day to day help desk operations and suggest optimizations and improvements over time.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT systems, with a significant focus on retail or restaurant technology.
- 5+ years of direct experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems (e.g., Toast) in a multi-unit restaurant or retail environment.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house processes.
- Experience with vendor management and negotiating technology contracts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, particularly for complex integrated systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and training skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure, hardware, and software relevant to restaurant environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading a help desk including incident/problem management processes and platforms.
- Experience with New Restaurant Openings (NRO).
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), online ordering platforms, and third-party delivery integrations.
- Knowledge of restaurant inventory management systems and labor management software.
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools for restaurant metrics.
- Familiarity with cloud-based restaurant technology solutions.
- Ability to travel to restaurant locations as needed
