What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate and assign container moves across multiple terminals and schedules
- Manage load planning with a focus on accuracy, time sensitivity, and service
- Communicate with customers regarding ETAs, delays, and updates with clarity and professionalism
- Work closely with dispatchers and drivers to ensure execution of the plan
- Maintain accurate, timely data entry in TMS and port systems
- Flag and resolve issues before they become service failures
- Monitor appointments, demurrage risks, and terminal constraints daily
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years in drayage, intermodal, or a high-volume logistics environment

Exceptional attention to detail — small mistakes have big consequences here
- Clear, confident communication with both customers and internal teams
- Comfortable juggling priorities in a fast-moving, deadline-driven role
- Tech-savvy with TMS, port systems, ELDs; McLeod experience a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong advantage

About Us
J & D TRANSPORTATION, INC. is a small transportation company with a fast growing trajectory.Â
J&D provides container storage and import/ export trucking services to and from the port of Los Angeles and Long Beach, specializing in Intermodal, land bridge (MLB), store door deliveries, Overweight, chassis, and storage.  Our bulk workload comes from local and inland empire located warehouses, however, we cover Western and Central United States as needed by our customers: CA, NV, AZ, UT, TX and beyond. We have extensive experience with hauling Computer and Electronic products, Medical Equipment, furniture, plastic products, and refrigerated containers, for some of our biggest accounts.
We are aware and working on compliance with the current and changing regulations so our customers can rest easy. Our fleet consists of clean environmentally friendly trucks, which run day and night. Our equipment includes our own chassis, tri-axles, forklifts, and yard goats; which we use to service customers with storage needs and organization. J&D is 100% asset based. Our operations is scheduled to match the Ports to help our customers capitalize on their use of free time and reduce additional charges such as chassis rental fees, etc.Â
We have 2 large yards, 4 acres total, with 24/7/365 security, yard hostlers, and surveillance.Â
