About the Role:

As a Licensed Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for the comprehensive installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties throughout Miami-Dade County. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring optimal water distribution, system efficiency, and the overall health of the landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation: Accurately install new irrigation systems, including piping, sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, and backflow prevention devices, adhering to design specifications and local codes.
Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance on existing irrigation systems, including seasonal adjustments, head cleaning, and system checks.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair complex irrigation issues, such as leaks, clogs, electrical malfunctions, controller programming errors, and poor water coverage.
System Optimization: Implement water-saving techniques and recommend system upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce water consumption.
Customer Service: Professionally interact with clients, providing clear explanations of services, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system configurations.
Compliance: Ensure all work complies with Florida State and Dade County irrigation codes and regulations.
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on job sites.

Qualifications:

Valid Florida State Irrigation Contractor License (SCC).
Valid Dade County Irrigation Certification.
Minimum 1 year of proven experience as an Irrigation Technician.
Strong knowledge of irrigation system components, hydraulics, and electrical principles.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various irrigation systems (e.g., conventional, smart, drip).
Familiarity with local Miami-Dade water restrictions and conservation practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid Florida Driver's License and a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred (but not required):

Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Experience with specific irrigation brands/technologies.
