About the Role:
As a Job Coach, you will work directly with individuals with disabilities or employment barriers to explore career options, prepare for jobs, and succeed in workplace environments. You will provide personalized support in job readiness, community-based work assessments, and on-the-job coaching to promote long-term employment success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals in exploring job opportunities through community visits, informational interviews, and work experience sites
- Support individuals in developing soft skills, resume writing, and interview preparation
- Provide one-on-one job coaching at community-based employment or volunteer sites
- Offer guidance and feedback to promote independence, confidence, and job retention
- Collaborate with employers, families, and support teams to ensure successful outcomes
- Document progress, attendance, and support provided per 245D and Medicaid guidelines
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in employment services, job coaching, or human services is a plus—training provided
- Strong interpersonal, teaching, and motivational skills
- Ability to work independently and follow individualized employment plans
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
- Patience, professionalism, and a passion for empowering others
