Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Learn and understand IBC’s PEO (Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation) process.
2. Work hands-on with production staff to ensure proper set-up of customer parts and fixtures.
3. Review drawing GD&T and develop inspection criteria for critical features.
4. Design fixturing and masking for customer parts on a routine basis. Create full drawing packages.
5. Work with R&D staff to develop new processes as needed and ensure a successful transition into production.
6. Develop methods and special tooling for the purpose of cost reduction, quality and process improvements.
7. Write standard operating procedures and work instructions, revising as necessary.
8. Review issues with engineering and quality staff to improve nonconformances and identify areas for continuous improvement.
9. Understand equipment functionality to help troubleshoot and verify proper operation.
10. Read, interpret, and create blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
11. Evaluate data sets for process and part conformity using applicable industry standards.
12. Complete additional assignments and projects as assigned by your supervisor.
13. Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.
Job Requirements:
1. Must be a U.S. Citizen/Green Card holder. Sponsorship is not provided for this position.
2. A bachelor’s degree in metallurgical/materials engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering is required.
3. 1-5 years of engineering experience required.
4. Solidworks or equivalent 3-D modeling software experience and design experience is preferred but not required.
5. Experience in surface coatings or metallurgical engineering preferred but not required.
6. Must have leadership experience and excellent communication skills.
7. Must have excellent organizational skills.
8. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
9. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
