đź’Ľ About the Role
We’re hiring one full-time (or two shared part-time) Education and Center Manager(s) to oversee daily operations at our McLean learning center.

The Center Manager will be a persuasive, effective communicator who will be independently responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the learning center. We have clearly articulated processes in place and specialized training that will get you up to speed quickly. Every day poses new challenges and opportunities to help make students and staff thrive.

You’ll serve as the go-to person for parents, students, and staff - handling questions, coordinating schedules, and creating a smooth, supportive, and energized environment.

This is a leadership role that’s equal parts operations, communication, and mentoring. You’ll manage 10–15 tutors and admins, oversee student progress, and help us deliver our award-winning educational experience every day.

Monday–Thursday, 11:00am–8:15pm
Saturday, 8:45am–2:30pm
(May vary by season or student need. School-year hours begin August 25.)


đź§  Responsibilities
To keep the TCM ecosystem humming, the Manager responds to a boatload of emails and takes plenty of phone calls, answers questions, offers advice, hunts down information, sets and adjusts tutor and student schedules, and serves as student advocates. This is a leadership position rooted in customer-service, relationship, and communication skills. 

  • Lead day-to-day center operations.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with parents, students, staff, and other educators.
  • Recruit, train, and support 10-15 tutors and administrators.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and fun center culture.
  • Onboard students, monitor their progress, and support their learning goals.
  • Provide administrative support, such as answering phones, greeting guests, creating schedules, and preparing student materials.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 2+ years managing a team of 5+ people
  • 2+ years in a customer service role
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, listening and persuasive skills.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable
  • Skilled in G-Suite and internet tools; quick tech learner
  • Passionate about education, with a warm and professional presence
  • Able to lead, mentor, and build trust with students and tutors
  • Willing to jump in and tutor if needed
  • Thrive on working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, easily adjusting to a dynamic set of responsibilities
