Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction:
- Meeting with customers, understanding their needs and preferences for fireplaces, stoves, and related accessories.
- Product Knowledge:
- Developing a strong understanding of various fireplace types (gas, electric, wood-burning), their features, and installation requirements.
- Sales & Recommendations:
- Recommending suitable products based on customer needs, providing detailed information about features, and explaining installation processes.
- Sales Process Management:
- Managing the sales process from initial contact to closing the sale, potentially including generating quotes, preparing contracts, and coordinating installation.
- Customer Relationship Building:
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients to drive sales and foster long-term partnerships.
- Product Demonstrations:
- Showcasing products in a showroom or during customer visits, highlighting their features and benefits.
- Sales Targets:
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets and contributing to the overall sales goals of the team or company.
- Technical Support:
- Providing technical input during sales calls and throughout the sales process.
- Building Relationships:
- Developing relationships with builders, remodelers, and homeowners.
- Sales Planning:
- Creating and executing sales plans to achieve objectives.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
- Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
- Willingness to work well in a team environment
- Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Compensation: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Our love for the area and love for the environment lead us to open Energy Plus, 30 years ago. When we first began, we were in the energy conservation/energy efficiency business, selling everything from wood-burning stoves, solar panels, and wind generators to weather-stripping products. While our product inventory has changed over the years, our focus on providing energy-efficient products and being a green business remains as strong as ever.
Energy Plus is the largest fireplace dealer in northern Minnesota. Because of our size, we can pick and choose the products we want to carry, providing our customers with some of the best products the industry has to offer. Many of our best-selling products are “Minnesota made” which we are very proud of that fact. In addition, several of our products are "Made in the USA". We pride ourselves that the products we both sell and service have that distinction.
Our Products
We invite you to visit our showroom at the intersection of Hwy 53 and Arrowhead Road, next to Menards in Hermantown, Minnesota, where we have over 40 fireplaces on display, all burning for your view and inspection. We also carry an extensive inventory of home accessories. Everything we carry is sure to add warmth, comfort, and value to your home.

We employ over 17 individuals at Energy Plus, all industry trained and experienced in helping customers find the right product to fit their home and lifestyle. With their expertise, we can service what we sell and are the only fireplace retailer in the area who has been doing our own installations for over 30 years.
