Job Summary:

New Wave Home Health Care is seeking a CFSS Program Personal Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of families, seniors and people with disabilities by supporting their goals to live independently, engage in community activities and maintain a high quality of life. Responsibilities may include assisting clients with daily grooming, light housekeeping and personal errands along with other tasks to maintain or improve their living environment. Our ideal candidate for this position is patient, compassionate and reliable.

Potential Responsibilities:

·         Providing companionship to client’s living at home
·         Assist with personal hygiene needs, grooming and dressing
·         Light housekeeping activities, including dishes, laundry, organizing, etc.
·         Assisting with mobility, walking and transferring as needed
·         Planning for meals and household supplies as needed
·         Assisting with errands and shopping trips, including transportation, as needed
·         (Additional responsibilities will be reviewed and assigned on a case-by-case basis)

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Previous experience as in-home Caregiver, Home Health Aide, LPN or similar role
·         Valid state driver’s license or valid state issued ID
·         Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
·         Ability to complete all state criminal & neglect background checks, onboarding training and annual training related to caregiving role. 
·         Good interpersonal communication skills including ability to use computer or phone applications to submit timecards
·         Must be able to speak, read and write English clearly
·         Consistent contact information (i.e. permanent home address, phone, email)
·         Reliable transportation to meet shift requirements (i.e. car, bus, train, Uber)
·         Compassionate, respectful employee with reliable work ethic and lover of people
·         Ability to take direction from management, or client’s responsible party, to support patient’s care plan and independent living goals
