The Clinician We're Hoping to Meet
You may be a strong match if you:
- Hold an active Tennessee license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD; qualified temporary license holders may also be considered
- Have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, or a combination of populations
- Bring experience in trauma treatment, substance use, or school-based mental health
- Have training or experience with EMDR and/or Brainspotting
- Approach therapy from a trauma-informed perspective
- Communicate well with colleagues and enjoy being part of a clinical community
- Understand the importance of accurate documentation and timely completion of clinical records
- Have experience with insurance processes and community-based resources
- Are already credentialed with insurance companies or are willing to pursue credentialing
What Your Day May Look Like
Your work will center on providing thoughtful, individualized care to the people you serve. Depending on your experience and interests, your responsibilities may include:
- Meeting with clients to understand their concerns, strengths, and treatment needs
- Completing assessments and establishing appropriate diagnoses
- Developing treatment goals and individualized care plans
- Providing psychotherapy using approaches that fit your clinical training and each client's needs
- Incorporating creative and specialized techniques into your work
- Keeping clinical records accurate, complete, and up to date
- Partnering with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community professionals when coordination of care is needed
- Consulting with other clinicians and contributing to team-based case discussions
- Participating in staff meetings, professional development, and continuing education
- Maintaining approximately 27-32 sessions per week for full-time positions
