Position Overview:
This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys both front-desk administrative duties and hands-on clinical work. You’ll be the welcoming face of the practice and a key player in the patient care journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Receptionist Duties:

  • Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out processes with professionalism

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and confirm upcoming visits

  • Verify insurance benefits and handle billing inquiries

  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient front office environment

Optometric Assistant Duties:

  • Perform pre-testing and diagnostic procedures (e.g., visual acuity, retinal imaging, tonometry)

  • Assist patients with contact lens insertion, removal, and care education

  • Maintain accurate patient records in EMR system

  • Educate patients about eye care procedures, products, and services

  • Support the optometrist and team with clinic flow and exam preparation

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an optometry or medical office preferred

  • Friendly, patient-focused, and detail-oriented

  • Strong multitasking and communication skills

  • Familiarity with EMR systems and optical terminology a plus

  • Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team
