Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Understanding of accrual-based account, and previous experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Previous experience and a working knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software
- Basic understanding of payroll, withholding, and IRS tax requirements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Record and categorize transactions in QuickBooks software on an ongoing basis
- Perform monthly bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of records
- Prepare accurate monthly reports for the Board of Trustees, including the following reports: balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, budget vs. actual reports, and detailed transaction reports
- Manage and update payroll software as needed, tracking weekly salaries, benefits, and paid time off
- Prepare and report withholding and tax documents to the IRS
- Ensure all accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and recorded properly in accounting software
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
