Grinder Truck Operator

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
· Operate heavy equipment with the highest priority of achieving accuracy

DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Must be able to operate heavy equipment proficiently and with minimal supervision once trained
· Daily inspection of equipment
· Must be mechanically inclined & inspect and maintain equipment schedule
· Must be safety conscious in all conditions
· Communicate with operators or supervisors to ensure production runs smoothly
· Wear P.P.E. as required

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Class A Driver’s license with good driving record, complete inspections, logs, and fuel reports
· Ability to make decisions in difficult conditions
· Mobilization from job to job with complete inspections, logs, and fuel reports
· Knowledge of DOT regulations
· Knowledge of job-specific safety practices
· Proficient reading comprehension for technical documents, such as safety regulations, assembly, and
  maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
· Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards, and the ability to suggest solutions for
  deficiencies or problems

REQUIREMENTS
· 2 years of pavement marking experience
· A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a safe driving record
· U.S. Work Authorization
· Mechanical aptitude
· Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
· Ability to work overnight if the project necessitates
· Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain and dusty environments · Must be able to pass drug screening · Must be able to stand on concrete for long periods of time · Ability to climb or crawl on equipment often and be able to get under equipment to work on it PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Two plus years’ experience in a construction field
