The exciting field of Construction Materials Testing Science. Keep commercial buildings healthy and safe by conducting material tests for some of the most iconic buildings in New England onsite and in our 5,000 sq. ft. laboratory facility in Canton, MA. Level I Techs apply with current certifications (see Level I Suggested Certifications list below) and Level II Techs receive on the job training. Work for a great small business with a big history and positive working environment. Full time, part time, seasonal, or on-call positions available.
Requirements:
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· High School degree minimum
· Construction background and experience
· Must have a smart cell phone
· A valid driver’s license with a clean record and reliable transportation
· Ability to lift 75 lbs., walk/work on uneven surfaces, work outside in various weather conditions and from heights.
· Must be willing to follow safety regulations and able to wear attire appropriate with safety regulations.
· Must be authorized to work in the US
· Must have OSHA-10 certification
Qualifications:
· Punctual and reliable and have the ability to work independently.
· Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel).
· Ability to keep detailed field notes and record data.
· Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
· Must be a team player and work well with others.
· Must have good organization skills, the ability to focus on details, and the ability to follow directions, both written and oral.
· Must have a desire to learn.
· Good communication (listening, speaking, writing) skills.
· Clean record with CORI and other background checks; must be able to pass random drug tests.
· Occasional weekend or evening availability if necessary.
Level I Tech Suggested Certifications (any of the following):
1. Concrete Construction Inspector
2. Concrete Laboratory Technician—Level 1
3. Aggregate Testing Technician—Level 1
2. Concrete Laboratory Technician—Level 1
3. Aggregate Testing Technician—Level 1
4. Concrete Strength Testing Technician
5. AWS Certified Welding Special Inspector

Schedules: In general: Monday – Friday
Job Type: Full-time, part-time, seasonal (May - October) or on-call. Overtime potential.
Pay: Dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
