Position Summary:
We’re looking for a dedicated Piano Instructor to join our team. This is a part-time, in-person position for private lessons. You’ll teach students ranging from young beginners to advanced teens and adult hobbyists.

Job Summary
The Piano Instructor will provide engaging, individualized piano instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. Candidates should be confident working with both children and adults in a fun, structured, and musically enriching environment. School hours are M-F 2-9pm and Sat 9am-3pm. Instructor schedules will depend on availability and student load.
General Accountabilities
- Teach private piano lessons in-studio
- Develop customized lesson plans based on each student’s goals and progress
- Maintain a positive, motivating learning environment
- Prepare students for recitals and other performance opportunities
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress
- Arrive on time and maintain a professional, friendly demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in piano performance and pedagogy (degree in music is a plus)
- Prior teaching experience with children and/or teens preferred
- Ability to teach various styles (classical, pop, jazz, etc.) a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and availability on weekday afternoons and/or Saturdays
- Enthusiastic, warm, and student-focused teaching style

- Can accompany students or teach some basic improvisation
- Love coffee, chord charts, and making music fun
- Are open to growing with us long-term

Compensation: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour

OUR PEOPLE
We believe the most important aspect of music education is the fit between student and teacher. We have over 20 instructors who offer a variety of styles of teaching any musical genre. We also believe that playing live music with other musicians is crucial to mastering self-expression through your instrument. We create ensemble opportunities for our students, pairing them with other students to explore the vast possibilities available with music.
OUR APPROACH
We are a music school designed to give our students a well-rounded music education. We include free theory classes for our students that involve ear training, rhythmic studies, sight reading and more. We've created a community center where students and their families can gather, connect and create. Music is in all of us, our goal is to bring it out.
