Join Team Thompson!
Northeast Title and Tag is looking for a friendly, organized, and bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our DOT Compliance Services (DCS) division at our Scranton location.
If you enjoy helping people, solving problems, staying organized, and working as part of a team, this could be a great opportunity for you!
In this role, you'll be one of the first points of contact for our customers. You'll assist customers by phone, email, and in person, help answer questions, process requests, and work closely with our DCS team and other divisions across Team Thompson to make sure our customers receive excellent service.
No previous DOT compliance experience is required! We will provide the training you need to learn our processes, systems, and compliance services. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
What You'll Do
- Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer a high volume of inbound phone calls and emails
- Communicate with customers in English and Spanish
- Identify customer needs and gather the information necessary to assist them
- Provide accurate information and solutions or connect customers with the appropriate team member
- Process customer requests and assist with administrative tasks
- Learn and become knowledgeable about DOT compliance services and requirements
- Use established scripts, procedures, and resources to assist customers
- Document customer interactions accurately in our systems
- Work closely with other departments and divisions within Team Thompson
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude—even when dealing with challenging situations
- Participate in ongoing training to build your knowledge and skills
- Meet individual and team goals while maintaining a high level of customer service
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who is people-oriented, dependable, organized, and eager to learn. You don't need to come in knowing DOT compliance—we'll teach you.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is fluent in English and Spanish
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoys working with and helping people
- Is comfortable answering phones and communicating with customers
- Has strong attention to detail
- Is comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Can multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Remains calm, professional, and solution-focused under pressure
- Is dependable and works well as part of a team
- Has a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous customer service, administrative, receptionist, or office experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Experience with customer management software is a plus
- DOT compliance experience is NOT required
