Primrose School of West Carrollton is looking for a dedicated Chef who thrives in a primarily morning-based role, allowing for a better work-life balance while fueling young students with nutritious meals. We are seeking someone who finds joy in working around children and is confident managing a kitchen independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Healthy Habits: Prepare delicious, balanced meals that encourage students to develop a lifelong love for healthy eating.

  • Safety First: Maintain a vigilant awareness of student allergies and dietary restrictions to ensure a safe environment.

  • Menu Execution: Follow daily menus developed in collaboration with school leadership. 

  • Kitchen Logistics: Assist with food ordering, inventory calculations, and portion control to ensure efficiency and minimize waste.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Experience: Proven background in food preparation and kitchen management. Experience in a school setting is preferred, though expertise from restaurants, hotels, or catering is highly valued.

  • Operational Skills: Strong proficiency in inventory management, food ordering, and cost control.

  • Leadership & Independence: Ability to manage food service and catering operations autonomously.

  • Work Ethic: A proactive "self-starter" who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
