Job Overview:
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to provide expert nutrition care and lifestyle coaching at the McChord Medical Clinic. The RDN will support active-duty military personnel and their families by leading nutrition education classes, developing action plans, and collaborating with healthcare providers to improve overall wellness and nutrition.

General Duties:

  • Provide services within the scope of clinical privileges.

  • Deliver nutrition counseling and education to patients.

  • Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives.

Specific Duties:

  • Nutritional Counseling & Education: Offer individual and group sessions on weight management, diabetes prevention, and sports nutrition.

  • Clinic Coordination: Consult with Primary Care Managers (PCMs) to support patient care.

  • Class Facilitation: Lead wellness programs like Health Improvement Program (HIP), Diabetes Management, and H2H (Healthcare to Health).

  • Outreach & Events: Organize and facilitate community wellness events.

  • Program Development: Assist with clinical nutrition pathways and wellness initiatives.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Leadership Briefings: Provide annual assessments and brief leadership on base nutrition.

Qualifications:

  • Degree: Bachelor's or graduate degree in dietetics or a related field.

  • Certification: Current BLS certification; Board Eligible – Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in health promotion, sports nutrition, and group education.

  • Licensure/Registration: Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

  • Other: U.S. citizenship; successful background investigation; Tier 1 security clearance.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in sports nutrition, obesity prevention, and chronic disease management.

  • Strong communication, teaching, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM – 04:30 PM; No nights, weekends, or on-call duties.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mostly outpatient clinic work. Must be fit-tested for N95.

Security Requirements:

  • Must complete Tier 1 background investigation and obtain CAC.

Compensation: $71,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
