Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable Desktop Deployment Technician to join our team. As the Desktop Deployment Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the deployment of hardware, software, and peripherals within a wide variety of organizations. The Desktop Deployment technician works closely with the Deployment Lead to ensure a smooth deployment of systems. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our company and allowing us to reach our business goals. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.

As the Desktop Deployment Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the deployment of hardware, software, and peripherals within a wide variety of organizations. The Desktop Deployment technician works closely with the Deployment Lead to ensure a smooth deployment of systems. - Experience with Microsoft SCCM imaging and installation of using application using Software center
- Experience with data migrations using USMT
- Experience with Microsoft Windows
Responsibilities
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and provides technical deployment for laptop and desktop computer build process
- Deploys new hardware to end-users while ensuring appropriate user settings and user satisfaction
- Performs hardware upgrades (memory installations and hard drive upgrades) as required
- Tests systems to ensure they are working properly
- Completes assigned tickets in a timely manner
- Performs software builds on computer for new hires and/or transferred employees
- Provides technical support to assigned clients
- Reports errors/issues to Deployment Lead for resolution
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM imaging and installation of using application using Software center.
- Experience with data migrations using USMT
- Experience with Microsoft Windows
- A degree in computer science or related field (preferred)
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software and hardware systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task when necessary
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions within the scope of the position
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
Physical Requirements
- Moderate lifting/carrying up to 50lbs.; heavier weights with assistance
- Sitting & standing for long periods of time
- Repetitive motions and/or prolonged computer use
- Working at a fast pace, subject to many interruptions, physical/mental demands
