Salary: $25 to $30/hour based on experience

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift/Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00

 

Easom & Easom, P.C. is an established CPA firm in Macon, Georgia.  We are looking to hire a motivated individual in the role of Accountant/Bookkeeper due to our growing needs.  We are a husband-wife owned business that believes in having a family-type environment in the workplace.  The daily task for this position includes, but not limited to, payroll processing, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, maintaining accurate books through journal entries and bank reconcilements for multiple clients on a monthly basis.  Seasonal tasks would include tax preparation for individual and small business returns.  

 

Our ideal candidate must have a strong attention to detail, great written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task.  The candidate must be able to prioritize and work well in a time sensitive environment due to internally and externally imposed deadlines.  

 

·       Excellent communication skills, both written and oral as our client base requires both regular email and phone communication

·       Knowledge of principles of accounting such as debits and credits under a double entry accounting system  

·       Knowledge of quarterly and annual payroll tax reporting requirements 

·       Experience in processing live payroll including submitting payroll tax deposits

·       Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite – especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

·       Quickbooks Desktop and/or Quickbooks Online experience is a plus 

·       Tax preparation experience is a plus 

·       Strong problem solving and time management skills required
