New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute (NJPNI) is the largest provider of pediatric neuroscience care in the state of New Jersey. As such, we are seeking a full-time Pediatric Dietitian to join our collaborative care team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialty setting, supporting children and families with complex neurological conditions through evidence-based, compassionate nutritional care.
About the Role:
The Pediatric Dietitian will work closely with our neurologists, neurosurgeons, nurse practitioners, social worker, and other support staff to provide individualized nutrition care plans for children with a variety of neurological and developmental conditions. This role involves direct patient care, family education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and participation in program development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for pediatric patients with neurological disorders (e.g., epilepsy, autism, ADHD, neuromuscular conditions).
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide education and counseling to families on therapeutic diets (e.g., modified Atkins, anti-inflammatory) and general pediatric nutrition.
- Collaborate with medical providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient-centered care planning.
- Support practice initiatives, such as patient education materials, group classes, or research and educational projects.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
- Must be licensed in New Jersey.
- Experience in pediatric nutrition required; experience in neurology or therapeutic diets strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support and guide families.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and committed to continuous learning.
