Founded in Ann Arbor, IOSiX (pronounced "eye-oh-six") is a growing company at the forefront of the fleet telematics industry and we're looking for an Electronics Technician to join our team! This job is multi-faceted and hands-on, so the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with:
- Soldering surface mount and through hole components on printed circuit boards
- Flashing, assembling, and testing electronic devices
- Quality control of production devices
- Performing basic root cause analysis on electronics
- Identifying common causes of trouble such as loose connections or defective components.
- Reviewing manufacturers specifications on connections and methods to locate problems.
- Analyzing current equipment to identify areas of inefficiency, as well as developing instrumentation to meet those needs.
- Designing and testing prototypes of equipment.
- Python script editing
- 3D printing and modeling for both prototyping and production
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously and using time effectively
- Being focused and task oriented
- Willingness to communicate and ask questions
- Follow complex step by step procedures
- Organization and collaboration
Though not required, applicants with the following skills will stand out:
- Ability to use a multimeter
- Understanding of circuitry and pcb design
- Knowledge of electronics components and package types
- Handy with a variety of tools such as pliers, clippers, screwdrivers, drills, crimpers etc.
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes

Compensation: $21.00 per hour
