Red Horse Market is seeking passionate, skilled, and customer-focused individuals to join our Deli Team in our East Hampton and Southampton Locations. We are looking for friendly, energetic, and highly motivated candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with deli orders, including cold cuts, salads, and specialty items.
- Slice meats and cheeses using both hand and machine techniques.
- Prepare fresh, high-quality sandwiches and gourmet deli salads.
- Cook and assemble breakfast sandwiches efficiently on the griddle.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked deli counter and sales floor.
- Ensure all food items meet Red Horse Market’s quality and freshness standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of deli, sandwich-making, or similar food service experience.
- Strong knife skills and ability to prepare deli items efficiently.
- Proven experience creating gourmet sandwiches and salads with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-player attitude.
- Strong focus on cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and understanding).
