POSITION TITLE: Account Executive, Maritime Sector, Northeast
POSITION OVERVIEW
Great White Fleet is looking for a motivated and strategic Ocean Freight Account Executive to grow our presence across the Northeast United States. In this role, you’ll take the helm of our regional commercial efforts — developing customer relationships, uncovering new business opportunities, and helping shape the future of ocean transportation for a trusted name in the maritime industry.
You’ll work closely with our Director and cross-functional teams to execute our Liner sales strategy, expanding market share, revenue, and cargo volume within your territory. This is a high-impact, people-focused role where your ideas and energy will directly influence results.
The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives on building connections, solving challenges, and driving results. A background in container shipping or logistics sales is preferred, along with strong communication skills, business savvy, and a passion for collaboration.
This is a remote position, ideally based in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania, with flexibility for other Northeast locations.

- Drive results by meeting and exceeding sales targets while contributing to the company’s broader mission of delivering reliable, sustainable ocean freight solutions.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience and support key accounts with proactive problem-solving.
- Analyze and share insights through regular market performance reports that highlight trends, opportunities, and lessons learned.
- Stay ahead of the curve by continuously learning about market dynamics, customer challenges, and innovations shaping the maritime industry.

- Education & experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field — or equivalent experience that demonstrates strong business and communication skills.
- Industry knowledge: 5+ years of experience in the maritime, logistics, or container shipping industry (experience in ocean or intermodal transportation a major plus) preferred.
- Analytical mindset: Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills — you know how to turn insights into action.
- People & communication skills: Excellent communicator, negotiator, and relationship-builder — someone who connects easily with customers and colleagues.
- Self-starter spirit: Independent, organized, and adaptable, with the curiosity to learn and the drive to make an impact.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet customers, attend industry events, and strengthen relationships in person
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
- This is a remote role with a supportive, collaborative culture.
