This position is to lead Estimating Review services for the Port Authority Trans-Hudson
(PATH) for both Capital and Repair facility projects. The Senior Estimator(s) must have
leadership skills and a strong technical background in construction estimating, including the
following:
A. Possess an Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related degree from
a US-accredited college or university.
B. Demonstrate at least fifteen (15) years of estimating experience with railroad and/or mass
transit projects, as well as additional experience for a wide variety of construction trades
for building, heavy/civil, and infrastructure construction.
C. Demonstrate experience reviewing estimates of all design and construction stages, and
all disciplines for consistency, accuracy, and conformance with project scope.
D. Experience should include the development of unit prices and/or lump sum estimates
based on labor, materials, and equipment.
E. Knowledge in Risk Assessment, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and Value Engineering to
assist in reviews of cost analyses and Value Engineering estimates.
F. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with design and field
engineers/architects, project managers, contract engineers, schedulers, and financial
analysts.
G. Advanced skill sets in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
H. Be legally present and authorized to work in the United States, as per the federally
required I-9 Program.
I. A valid driver’s license is required.
J. Project management experience will not be considered as estimating experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
A. Certification as an estimator from the ASPE, AACE, or RICS
B. Working knowledge of SharePoint and E-Builder
C. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and working knowledge of estimating software

Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $30.00 - $70.00 per hour
