Black Swan Hearth & Gift is under new employee ownership: we’ve been the team behind the business for years, and now we’re building its next chapter. With two showrooms, we help customers design warm, stylish homes with fireplaces, stoves, and home décor, backed by expert in-house installation.
We’re looking for a Sales Associate to join our showroom team. This is not typical retail: you will guide customers through fireplace and design choices, review dimensions and plans, and work closely with our installation team to ensure projects are successful.
What You’ll Do
• Welcome customers and provide a professional showroom experience
• Learn fireplace product details and recommend the right solutions (training provided)
• Review plans and measurements to confirm fit and prepare accurate estimates
• Manage leads and track sales using our CRM system
• Work Saturdays (we’re always closed Sundays)

• Competitive pay: Base salary $40,000 – $55,000 per year, plus uncapped commission opportunities. Typical earnings range from $65,000 – $75,000 annually for successful team members

Black Swan first opened its doors as a small stove shop in 1979 and has continued to grow ever since. In 2006, it expanded and created a beautiful new showroom to fit its expanding product line. Now, Black Swan has expanded to two locations, the original location in Newtown and a second location in New Milford. It has increased its product line to include not only standard gas and wood heating appliances, but alternative heating appliances, such as electric and pellet stoves. It carries a variety of products including alternative heating appliances, fireplace accessories, grills, home décor, and gifts. It also sells, ships, and installs stove parts.
